My favorite subject this semester was narrative journalism elective. In this class, Professor Pato Jara teaches us to write texts that mix the narrative with the journalistic.
In narrative journalism we have read several books by journalists dedicated to this type of journalism. We also did a written work, called "Vivencial", for which we had to live some interesting situation and later write it, in first person.
I liked this very much, because in general, the use of I is strictly forbidden, and this kind of journalism breaks with this. In this, the details make the difference, you must describe what happens around you so that the reader can teletransport to the place that you describe with your words.
This subject became my favorite because thanks to it I was able to get out of my creative block, something that stopped me from writing. I am actually working on a story about ambulance drivers.
Although this is my favorite subject, it makes me suffer a lot of stress and pressure. And it's the one where I've had the worst marks, but I want to keep trying because I know it is that I want to do in the future.
